History and Philosophy of APMA
APMA was established by several pest management industry veterans who envisioned the idea of a more caring association that would hear the voice of the pest management professionals in the region for better and affordable training, leading towards the competency and welfare of the members. The meeting of more than 23 Pest Management Professionals and Suppliers at Pattaya, Thailand (May 1-3, 2023) resulted in the signing of the declaration to support the need for an Association. Following the meeting, the Asian Pest Management Association (APMA) was founded with a common goal to see the industry grow and progress and to empower Pest Management Professionals in Asia. There was a need to ensure that members benefit from being a part of the Association.
It was historic to witness the formation of APMA with the four founding Countries:
o India - PMPWAM
o Indonesia - ASPPHAMI
o Philippines - PCAP
o Thailand - TPMA

The Pattaya meeting marks our first meeting among industry leaders and players. Three main objectives are laid as the foundation of APMA:
To develop a mutual agreement and understanding with a common objective to promote and advance the professional Pest Management Industry in Asia.
To develop cohesion and teamwork with cooperation across boundaries to identify synergies between Associations across the regions.
To find ways to collaborate and empower the industry players to advance the Pest Management industry across ASIA.

The industry veterans understood that the Pest Management industry needed to unite and collaborate for the betterment of its members and the public health of our regions as a whole.
We have all chosen to be a part of this regional collaboration due to our mutual passion for a common purpose above and our vision/mission to see the future of the pest management industry grow. This common purpose and passion will unite us and set the synergy we create to propel us to achieve our objectives of APMA.
Based on these ideals, the APMA was formed, and the effort to register the APMA Association began to gain momentum. A protem committee with leaders from various countries was formed to draft the constitution and, subsequently the registration. APMA Association was officially registered in Singapore on July 31, 2023.
